RULES AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE PRIZE DRAW
1. General provisions
These rules set out the conditions for participating in the prize draw "EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES SURVEY" (hereinafter: the prize draw), organised by Živalski vrt Ljubljana, Večna pot 70, 1000
Ljubljana, Company reg. no.: 5052700000, VAT no.: SI44188960 (hereinafter: the organiser). The prize draw is linked to completing the survey for programme participants.
Participation in the prize draw is conditional on agreement with these rules and the general conditions of participation. By participating in the prize draw, the user confirms agreement with these rules and general conditions.
2. How the prize draw works and conditions of participation
Citizens of the Republic of Slovenia (natural persons) may participate in the prize draw. Under-18s must obtain permission from a parent or guardian to take part.
The user takes part in the prize draw by entering their valid email address at the end of the survey.
Any costs of participation (internet access, travel costs, etc.) are borne by the participants.
Each individual participant, by taking part in the prize draw, confirms that they are familiar with the rules and agree to the rules and conditions of participation. The rules and conditions of participation are published on the website https://www.zoo.si .
The prize draw committee will draw one email address from all participants, thereby selecting one winner.
ZOO Ljubljana employees and their immediate family
members may take part but cannot win.
3. Prize
1 x Meet Your Favourite Animal voucher at ZOO Ljubljana
Prizes cannot be exchanged or paid out in cash.
4. Selection, announcement and notification of winners
The organiser will publish the names of winners no later than 15 February 2027 by 16:00 on the ZOO Ljubljana website.
All participants who submit a completed survey by 15.1.2027 will be included in the prize draw. From all
participants, a committee of three ZOO Ljubljana employees will draw one email address, thereby selecting the prize winner.
In the event of incomplete, incorrect or untruthful information, the organiser may refuse to award the prize and repeat the draw, awarding the prize to a newly drawn participant. We will notify users of their win at the drawn email address after the draw is concluded. If the drawn entrant does not
contact the organiser with their details within one week, the prize is not awarded.
5. Collecting the prize
A ZOO Ljubljana representative will contact the winner to arrange the method of collection.
6. Use and protection of personal data
Participants in the prize draw permit the organiser, as the controller of their personal data, to manage, maintain and process the collected personal data until the participant revokes consent
for the purposes of informing them about the prize draw and other activities, in accordance with applicable law.
The organiser undertakes to pass personal data to third parties only for the purposes of running the prize draw. All personal data collected for the purposes of the prize draw will be retained by the organiser until the deadline for any legal action
arising from this prize draw expires, or until the statute of limitations for any investigation concerning the prize draw expires. While their personal data are being managed, individuals have the right to inspect, transcribe, copy, complete,
correct, block and delete personal data in the database, in accordance with applicable regulations. The participant may at any time require the organiser to permanently or temporarily stop using their personal data within 15 days
for direct marketing purposes, by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of each promotional
message, by email to info@zoo.si or in writing to the organiser’s address.
The organiser undertakes to process and protect the data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
7. General provisions on the prize and winner
The prize cannot be exchanged for money or any other prize. The prize is transferable to another person. The organiser of the prize draw reserves the right not to award the prize if it is established that the user participated in violation of the rules and conditions of the prize draw.
8. Exclusion of unsuitable content
Incomplete and incorrect email addresses will be excluded from the prize draw.
The organiser reserves the right, at its own discretion and without explanation, to remove problematic email addresses and prevent the applicant from participating in the prize draw.
9. Other provisions
All information required to participate in the prize draw will be submitted to the organiser. The organiser is solely responsible for the content of the prize draw. The organiser is not responsible for participation with incorrect data, nor for any damage arising from the prizes. The organiser is not responsible for any consequences arising from the use of the prizes. The organiser reserves the right to change the rules if required by technical or commercial reasons or by reasons on the side of the public. The organiser will inform participants of any changes and updates to the prize draw by publishing notices on the ZOO Ljubljana website. The organiser takes
no responsibility whatsoever for:
- service failures arising from incorrect use or a lack of understanding of how to use the services,
- service failures due to outages at contractual partners’ networks, electricity
outages or
other technical disruptions that could temporarily disturb use of the service,
- any unwanted consequences a participant may suffer due to participation in the prize draw,
- any consequences from use of the prizes.
The organiser reserves the right to permanently exclude from the prize draw any participant who does not act in accordance with the rules and conditions of participation,
spreads hateful, offensive or any other inappropriate speech, from further participation in the prize
draw.
10. Complaints
All complaints and grievances are handled by the organiser. In the event of justified complaints, the organiser undertakes
to resolve them as soon as possible and to inform the participant concerned, or if necessary other
participants.
11. Final provisions
By participating, users agree to the rules of the prize draw published on the ZOO Ljubljana website.
The organiser reserves the right to change the rules and conditions of participation and undertakes
that with every
change or addition, the updated conditions will be published on the website www.zoo.si.
