An opportunity to meet the animal keepers

At ZOO Ljubljana, as part of our themed year "ZOObackstage", we are launching ZOOChat — better known abroad as a keeper talk. The programme consists of short meetings with keepers or other zoo staff, who introduce visitors to an animal, its fascinating details and how it is cared for in a friendly, accessible way.

The aim is to give visitors a glimpse behind the scenes at the zoo and foster an understanding of the importance of protecting animal species.

Join us for the opening ZOOkle5 at the sea lions

When: Sunday, 15 March, at 11:00 (or the backup date in case of bad weather or if the lions do not cooperate — Saturday, 28 March, at 11:00)
Where: at the sea lions
If the weather is good and the sea lions cooperate, the sea lion training will be presented by documentary narrator Ivan Lotrič.

After the training, you will have the chance to chat with the sea lion keeper, ask her questions and learn more about how these intelligent and playful marine mammals are cared for.
