How to get here

FROM THE RING ROAD the route to the zoo is signposted and therefore simple. At exit 16 – Brdo, leave the ring road and follow the roadside signs for ZOO Ljubljana.

FROM THE RAILWAY STATION Head south towards Masarykova cesta and turn right onto Trg osvobodilne fronte. At the signalised junction with Dunajska cesta, go straight along Tivolska cesta (signs for Koper/Kranj/Airport), and at the junction with Celovška cesta continue straight along Bleiweisova cesta. After 650 metres turn left onto Šubičeva cesta, and after another 50 metres turn right onto Prešernova cesta. After 150 metres turn right onto Erjavčeva cesta and, past the underpass on Cesta 27. aprila, continue 1.5 km straight along Večna pot. Ljubljana Zoo is on the right-hand side of the road.

FROM ŠIŠKA At the junction where the LPP building stands, turn from Celovška cesta onto Šišenska cesta. Continue straight past three signalised junctions until you reach Večna pot. At the last traffic light, continue straight along Večna pot for another 2 km. On the left you will see Ljubljana Zoo.

City bus route 18 (Railway Station – ZOO – Center Stožice P+R) serves Ljubljana Zoo.

At weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) route 18 operates as route 18L (Railway Station – ZOO – Litostrojska).

Note: Route 18L does not run to the P+R (Park & Ride) car parks at weekends! If you are travelling by car and parking at a P+R, you will need to change to other bus routes that serve these locations. Below we list all routes that will take you from the P+R locations to ZOO Ljubljana.

Bus timetables change according to school holidays and public holidays.

A BicikeLj self-service bike hire station is located in front of the zoo.

A pleasant pedestrian path and cycle lane also lead to the zoo.
