Father Frost
Father Frost (Dedek Mraz) is the kindly figure who comes from beyond Triglav, accompanied by animals. So we will pet some animals and get to know them up close. Then the kindly old man will pay us a visit, introduce himself, tell jokes, sing and hand out gifts. We host the celebration for small companies and individual visitors who want to meet Father Frost at ZOO Ljubljana.
About the programme
Want your child to meet Father Frost? We have prepared a 90-minute programme that, alongside petting and learning about the animals, also includes a meeting with Father Frost.
The kindly old man loves all people and animals, especially children. We will first visit ‘his animals’, pet some and learn about them. Then the kindly old man will join us. He will sing with us, share a joke or two, and finally hand out gifts by name to every child — even those who may have been a little naughty in the past year.
After the meeting, you can continue to explore the zoo on your own.

Gifts
Bring the gift for your child to ZOO Ljubljana and hand it in at our ticket desk between 09:00 and 16:00, no later than 2 days before the start of your chosen time slot.
Please make sure the child’s first and last name and the date and time of the meeting with Father Frost are clearly written on the gift. Only this way can we ensure your child receives the right gift from the kindly old man.

The programme runs in December at a pre-arranged time between 9.12.2025 and 23.12.2025.

Number of people
We accept up to 60 people per group.
The minimum group size is 30, the maximum 60.
For larger numbers, we split into multiple groups that start the programme at one-hour intervals.

For children aged 0 to 1.99 and children with an Annual Pass 365 €13.00
For children aged 2 to 15 €13.00 + admission as per the current pricing.
Adult companions pay admission as per the current pricing.

The education service is available by phone between 07:30 and 11:30, so please send all booking enquiries by email, to which we respond regularly.
Gifts
Buy gifts for your children yourselves and bring them to ZOO Ljubljana by no later than the last working day before the agreed celebration, by 11:00. Each gift should clearly bear the child’s first and last name and the date and time of the meeting with Father Frost or Santa Claus, as this is the only way to ensure each child receives the correct gift from the kindly old man.
