One-hour Guided Tour
In one hour, with a guide, you experience the animals and see part of the zoo. You can explore the rest of the animals on your own. Tours are designed for nurseries, primary and secondary schools, and for all other organised groups and families.
About the programme
At ZOO Ljubljana we run learning sessions (one-hour guided tours). During this time we experience the animals and observe them with a guide. The one-hour tour is designed for organised groups of all ages.
You are warmly welcome!
Details
During the learning session we reach and meet the learning objectives set out in the curricula for Environmental Studies, Science and Technology, Science, Biology and the elective subject Organisms in their Natural and Man-Made Environment. In this way we support the teacher in delivering new material as well as in reinforcing existing knowledge.
At ZOO Ljubljana we follow the professional guidelines of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), of which we are members. In our work we must ensure the welfare of the animals at all times, including during the delivery of educational programmes. For this reason we limit the involvement of small wild animals in learning sessions. We can, however, offer hands-on insect experiences and, of course, guided observation of the animals in their enclosures.

Annual Pass 365
Quality leisure time matters hugely in today’s fast-paced life. With a ZOO Ljubljana annual pass you’ll enjoy pleasant relaxation, more movement, more time with friends and family, plenty of laughter and fun, new learning and discoveries, and many happy moments during your visits. The annual pass costs less than six single visits.

Camping
Spend the night at the zoo in tents and prepare dinner over an open fire. We explore the whole zoo and see all the animal feedings, and we walk around the zoo when the other visitors have already left. We see what the animals do at night, and in the morning we head to the bears for some early-morning exercise and breakfast, and make the meerkats their favourite toy with a treat.

Father Frost
Father Frost (Dedek Mraz) is the kindly figure who comes from beyond Triglav, accompanied by animals. So we will pet some animals and get to know them up close. Then the kindly old man will pay us a visit, introduce himself, tell jokes, sing and hand out gifts. We host the celebration for small companies and individual visitors who want to meet Father Frost at ZOO Ljubljana.
