Bactrian Camel Wadi

Wadi was born on 26 May at 13:35, and the keepers named her after the Jordanian desert. Mother Salima cleaned her, and the calf was quickly on her feet. The camel herd now has 5 members.

Wadi has a sister, Gobi, who was born here on 25 March 2017, and a half-brother, Hasan. Camel pregnancy usually lasts thirteen months, and the calf can stand on its own immediately after birth and walk within a few hours. It stays with its mother for three to five years. We separated mother Salima and Wadi from the rest of the herd for a while so they could have a little peace from the excited family members.
