The project with the most votes will receive funding for its work.
The aim of the project ‘Pelikansko selo: Život na raftu!’ is to build an additional raft for Dalmatian pelicans (Pelecanus crispus) to nest on Lake Skadar, helping conserve this globally threatened bird species. As there are no longer any natural islands of water plants on Lake Skadar, the pelican population depends entirely on artificial nesting sites and their protection.
The project is also supported by ZOO Ljubljana, and you will soon be able to watch the pelicans nesting via a live webcam on our website!
How do I vote?
- visit the voting website
- click the "GLASAJ ZA OVAJ PROJEKAT" button (on the right below the photo of the pelicans)
- in the pop-up form, enter your first and last name and email address, tick "I’m not a robot" and click the "GLASAJ" button
- you will receive a confirmation message at the email address you provided (Verifikacija glasa). Click the link in the message ("ovdje").
- you have now cast your vote to help the endangered pelicans!
Voting runs until 6 November 2018 at 12:00. One vote can be cast from each email address. Telekom Črna gora will allocate part of a total donation of €30,000 to the project that receives the most votes in the public vote, and at least five other donation recipients will be selected by a committee. Casting a vote costs you nothing, while the ‘Pelikansko selo: Život na raftu!’ project can gain significant funds to help the endangered pelican species survive!
