Pumpkin Weekend 2019

Traditionally, for the fifth year in a row, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 October 2019, you can pay admission to ZOO Ljubljana for preschool and school-age children with a carved or even "witchy" pumpkin weighing at least 4 kilograms!

You can swap your pumpkin for a ticket at our ticket desk, where staff will show you where to leave it. We will use them to enrich the spaces of some animals and to decorate the zoo, so unfortunately we cannot use lighter pumpkins. You are also welcome to bring a pumpkin over 8 kg, which can be exchanged for two children’s tickets.
