Unique Play Areas

Please follow the safe play rules at all times; during the COVID-19 pandemic, also maintain appropriate distance, cough hygiene and hand disinfection. Many other corners of the zoo also offer fun, so please use the play equipment sensibly, with your health and that of others in mind.

According to a 2017 Dnevnik readers' vote, the play areas at ZOO Ljubljana were ranked first among those that require prior ticket purchase, and third among all play areas.

 At the zoo you can play on very special, unique play equipment. It is set in the forest, which in summer offers pleasantly cool shade. Loungers are available next to the play areas, with a restaurant nearby and vending machines with hot and cold drinks. Parents can relax, watch the children play and chat.

Swings, slides, hanging baskets, in-ground trampolines, a sandpit with running water… Children and parents can try out all the equipment together.

 What an annual pass holder says about the play areas: "The zoo offers what I need after work. Time with the family in a pleasant setting surrounded by animals, a lounger, a sandpit and hot and cold drinks."

 There are also paid play areas from an external provider near the capybaras. At the Lunasan playground children can ride the children’s train, have a trampoline entirely to themselves or try bungee jumping.
