RECORD-HOLDER: The moose is the largest member of the deer family and the largest land mammal in Europe.

Moose are divided into three groups — European, Asian and North American — and into 8 subspecies.

Only males have antlers in moose. They are bony, flat or forked in shape. Their spread can be up to 2.2 metres. Each branch has up to 15 tines, which mostly grow from a palmate widening. The antlers can weigh up to 36 kg.
