Camping
Spend the night at the zoo in tents and prepare dinner over an open fire. We explore the whole zoo and see all the animal feedings, and we walk around the zoo when the other visitors have already left. We see what the animals do at night, and in the morning we head to the bears for some early-morning exercise and breakfast, and make the meerkats their favourite toy with a treat.
Programme
On arrival we’ll get to know each other with the help of some tame animals. This will be followed by a feeding demonstration and training with the Asian elephant, and our first tour of the animals. We will then build a toy for one species of animal, which we will give them the next day. We’ll also watch the squirrel monkeys being fed. Dinner will be prepared around the campfire — we’ll grill sausages, set up in our tents and listen to the night sounds of the zoo. Before bed we will visit the nocturnal animals. Finally, we will sleep in tents, get up early and watch the animals waking up. After morning exercise with the gibbons we’ll have a "bear breakfast". A host of fun and above all educational activities will follow. The day will conclude at 12:00.
The programme will be adapted to the age of the participants and to the current conditions at ZOO Ljubljana, so minor changes may occur.
Camping is designed for organised groups of all ages, adults and families (recommended age for children attending with their parents is 5 years or older). Larger groups are also very welcome!

The programme runs provided there are enough registrations. We will notify you about whether the camping will go ahead by Thursday before the event by 13:00.
What to bring
A sleeping bag, a foam insulation mat (Armaflex), a torch, suitable clothing and footwear, warm spare clothes. We also recommend a small pillow.

Birthday Celebration
You can celebrate a birthday at ZOO Ljubljana. During the celebration we experience smaller domesticated animals, with a focus on insects. We also visit the more charismatic larger animals in their enclosures and learn many interesting things about them. The celebrations are educational and fun, suitable for children and adults alike. We provide food, drink and an educational and entertaining programme.
